Fans of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan have been ecstatic since news of the superstars' reunion in Tiger 3 and Pathan surfaced. While Tiger 3 is the third instalment in Salman Khan's spy drama, Pathan is SRK's comeback film, and both have been among the most talked about films for obvious reasons. However, it appears that the audience will have to wait a little longer for Tiger 3 and Pathan to hit theatres, as production on both films has been halted, according to a recent update.
According to a report in Mid Day, the decision was made by director and producer Aditya Chopra in response to an increase in COVID 19 cases. "The production company was meticulous in its testing on set." However, once a case was discovered, they decided to halt work immediately because the city's doubling rate was high at the time. Pathan and Tiger 3 have a large crew strength. Even if one person tested positive, a large number of people would be at risk in such a scenario. Taking this into consideration, the directors, along with producer Aditya Chopra, decided to halt production," a source from the Tiger 3 unit told Mid Day.
That's not all. The production of Irrfan Khan's son Babil Khan's web series The Railway Men, starring R Madhavan and Kay Kay Menon, has also been halted until the number of cases drops significantly. Meanwhile, several production companies that have decided to continue shooting and are enforcing strict safety standards on the set. "Over the last few days, Vidyut has been filming at Sunil Maidaan in Film City. Akshay Kumar was recently in Madh Island filming a commercial. These incidents send a strong message to the industry that work must continue. "So far, the industry has suffered less than in the previous two waves," the source added.
